Platform A is a program, funded by the Toronto Arts Council, to combine the strengths and experiences of four Toronto arts organisations – Art Starts, Jumblies Theatre, SKETCH, & CUEVIBE Arts – supporting a shared vision of sustainable and high-quality community arts practice, and providing new opportunities for emerging artists, youth and communities.

Mentorship

Support and mentorship for emerging artist, arts-focused youth groups and arts-based grassroots organizations through workshops, placements, shadowing, and hands-on work in communities.

Toronto Arts Council Micro-grants

Platform A partners will be giving our micro-grants of up to $1,000 to emerging and newcomer artists and collectives to foster new arts projects, practice skills, and incubate creative ideas with mentorship from established artists and organisations the field. With the success of last years inaugural funds, Platform A is able to increase the number of grants given out this year by 50% bringing the total to $48,000.
